Platform Overview

A Full Mobile Network Stack

The MOBITELSMS Mobile Core integrates OsmoHLR (2G/3G), Open5GS EPC (4G), and Open5GS 5GC (5G SA) into a unified managed platform. All network functions share a single subscriber database with the billing system, enabling consistent charging across all radio access technologies. SIM provisioning is managed through a Flask-based API that writes directly to the HLR and HSS.

Mobile Core Components

HLR / AuC (2G/3G)
OsmoHLR provides Home Location Register and Authentication Centre functions for 2G GSM and 3G UMTS networks. GSUP protocol for MSC/SGSN integration. Subscriber records, authentication vectors (Ki/OP), and IMSI-MSISDN mappings managed via API.
4G LTE EPC
Open5GS provides a complete 4G EPC: HSS, MME, SGW-C, SGW-U, PGW-C, PGW-U, and PCRF. S1AP interface for eNodeB attachment, S11/S5 GTP for bearer management, and Gy/Gx Diameter interfaces to our OCS and PCRF for real-time charging and policy.
5G Standalone Core (5GC)
Open5GS 5G SA supports all 3GPP Release 16 core NFs: NRF, SCP, AMF, AUSF, UDM, UDR, PCF, NSSF, BSF, and SEPP. N2/N3 interfaces for gNB, SBA (Service Based Architecture) for NF-to-NF via HTTP/2, and N40 Nsmf for session management.
SIM Provisioning
REST API (voxsim) for programmatic SIM lifecycle management: create subscriber, assign IMSI/MSISDN/Ki/OP, activate, suspend, and deactivate. Bulk import from CSV for MVNO onboarding. Integrates with SIM card personalisation vendors via standard SIM data format export.
Multi-APN & Slicing
Configure multiple APNs per subscriber for internet, IMS, IoT, and enterprise data segregation. 5G network slicing (S-NSSAI) assigns different slices for eMBB, URLLC, and mMTC traffic types. Per-slice QoS and charging policies enforced end-to-end.
Integrated Billing
All subscriber data sessions, voice minutes, and SMS messages routed through the platform's unified billing engine. Diameter OCS credit control for 4G/5G, SS7 MAP for 2G/3G. Real-time balance deduction with per-IMSI CDR generation across all RATs.
